Courses

Undergraduate courses related to air quality and taught by LAR faculty include the following:

  • CE 174: Introduction of Meteorology and the Atmospheric Environment
    Introduction to meteorology, the atmospheric processes, weather, air pollution, and environmental topics.
  • CE 341: Introduction to Environmental Engineering
    Impact of pollutants on the environment; pollution sources and sinks; engineering aspects of air and water quality; introduction to pollution control.
  • CE 408: Air Pollution Control Engineering
    Measurement and control of air pollution; engineering design calculations; equipment and process.
  • CE 409 Air Quality Modeling
    Theory and practice of air quality modeling with an emphasis on principles of atmospheric pollutant dispersion and regulatory air quality models.
  • CE 415 Environmental Measurements
    Theory and laboratory measurement techniques used in analyzing environmental quality parameters.
