BEACHON-SRM08

BEACHON - Southern Rocky Mountain project

Welcome to the website created for Washington State University's data from the BEACHON - Southern Rocky Mountain project that took place in July and August of 2008. The links on the the side will lead you to the data files, the people involved from WSU, as well as background information for the project.

What is BEACHON-SRM08?

BEACHON-SRM08 stands for Bio-hydro-atmosphere interactions of Energy, Aerosols, Carbon, H2O, Organics & Nitrogen in the Southern Rocky Mountains during Summer 2008.

The BEACHON Southern Rocky Mountains project combines atmospheric and ecosystem studies to gain a larger understanding of the role biogenic and anthropogenic aerosols play in water limited regions. This research took place at Manitou Experimental Forest in Colorado as a pre-study to determine whether this site will be suitable for long term research measurements.
