A dispersion forecasting system supported by NW-AIRQUEST

ClearSKY

Project Contacts

This dispersion modeling system is a product under development with support from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) and the Washington State Department of Ecology. The IDEQ project officer is Diane Riley. The Washington project officers are Dick Stender and Karen Wood. The ClearSky project is directed by Professors Brian Lamb and Candis Claiborn at the Laboratory for Atmospheric Research at Washington State University. ClearSky development is managed by Joe Vaughan with the support of air-quality analysts Ranil Dhammapala and Rahul Jain. ClearSky has been developed in conjunction with AIRPACT, an Eulerian photochemical air-quality forecasting system for the Puget Sound region. The ClearSky approach for agricultural field-burning smoke management is being developed in conjunction with the USDA Forest Service BlueSky project.
